Meet The Artist: Rita Bauman |
| |
As a child growing up in rural Oregon,
I loved being out in nature and playing in the earth as it was
my clay. In High School and college I discovered a passion for
pottery.
Pottery did not immediately become my life's vocation. As my
children grew, I rediscovered my passion for clay by taking more
classes with various potters and artists. I took Raku classes
in 1998 to learn the art and began experimenting to add this art
form to my business.
I currently live in Brush Prairie, Washington with my husband.
We have 3 (almost) grown children. My passion for clay and pottery
is fed from the earth, nature, dreams, music, family and friends.
My hope and vision is to bring beauty, healing and blessings into
the world though my creative endeavors. I hope you enjoy my work
as much as I do and that it will bring to you all the best that
life and love have to offer. |
